Senator Lidia Thorpe is the ‘self revolutionary’ that we’ve desperately required since the loss of Bemul Wagun (Pemulwuy). Despite not possessing testicles, (but if she did) Lidia’s size would outweigh the combined volume of balls currently making up the Federal Cabinet. Whereby ‘Australia’ can only ever profess to having a “voice” via a musical TV programme, Senator Thorpe is THE voice for First Nations peoples today. Lidia Thorpe is currently the resolute hope we have of changing the colour of Parliament House upon the hill to at least beige. Despite being housed amongst a somewhat generic garden, she is the stand - out minacious Blak Rose.
