Earth Myth II explores the traces of civilizations - stories, symbols, and fragments resurfacing across time. The layered textures of this woodblock print evoke the ancient being unearthed, like sediment or eroded ruins, while its abstraction gives it a contemporary presence. Created during an artist residency in Kavala, northern Greece—a place where ancient and modern life collide along the shifting edge of Aegean sea—the work reflects forces of erosion and renewal. Through textured surfaces and contemplative forms, it reflects on how stories, creations, and everyday moments weave a complex tapestry of human experience. Our lives are myths in themselves.
