Chinese Ink Brush Painting on Rice Paper Workshop

Cost : $ 70 including all material

2 hour workshop for a class of 14 (no experience necessary) to learn the basics of traditional Chinese ink brush painting, using simple but expressive brush stroke on rice paper to creative some beautiful Chinese painting of a plum blossom. To learn about the importance of Chinese philosophy and aesthetics in the creation of this art form. The elegant brush technique is taught in a way that is easy to understand, meditative, enjoyable and relaxing.


The plum tree is renowned for bursting into a riot of blossoms exuding an otherworldly exquisiteness and beautiful elegance during the desolation of winter. On Chinese culture it serves as a metaphor for inner beauty and humble display under adverse conditions.
