Li Baoying

Li Baoying was born in Beijing and graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. She had undertaken postgraduate programs at COFA in Sydney. In addition, Li has been an art educator, stories illustrator, curator and art editor. She had her first solo exhibition ” A Chinese woman’s view ” in Griffith University and she also participated in the exhibition “From Mao to Now” in Sydney. She was also a finalist in the NSW Parliament Plein Air Painting Prize 2008.  Baoying undertook an artist residency at Lake St Clair National Park of Tasmania in 2010 and she had a solo exhibition “Leeawuleena – the sleeping water” at Art Atrium.
