Art Atrium presents Richard Goodwin and David Holm in conversation as part of the gallery’s Art Month exhibition, Drawn By Design – The Art of Architecture.Join Goodwin and Holm as they discuss the inspiration behind their works and the different ways they utilize drawings and sketches at work and at play.

Professor Goodwin’s works are housed in collections including the Art Gallery of NSW, the National Gallery of Victoria and the Nuremburg Museum. His exhibitions include 3 Australian Sculpture Triennials, 3 Australian Perspect Biennales and the Venice Architecture Biennales 2008 and 2010. He also established the Porosity Studio 1996 at the College of Fine Arts UNSW.
David Holm is an Australian architect specializing in major public architecture including those with an urban transportation theme. He is passionate about drawing and was awarded the NSW Board of Architects Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship to assess architecture and urban form through Italy. He was also awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2011 to study public urban places via drawing. He is a director at Cox Architecture and an educator at the University of Technology, Sydney.

Professor Richard Goodwin
Over 30 years of practice as an internationally exhibiting artist and architect. Goodwin’s work is held in major collectionsGoodwin’s works are housed in collections including the Art Gallery of NSW, the National Gallery of Victoria, Nuremburg Museum. Exhibitions include 3 Australian Sculpture Triennials, 3 Australian Perspecta Biennales, The Third International Drawing Trienniale, Innensietea Satellite of Documenta X 1997, Distance Tokyo, Kyoto 1995, Der Overkant, Den Haag 2007 and Venice Architecture Biennales 2008, 2010. About David Holm
David Holm is an Australian architect specialising in major public architecture including those with an urban and transportation theme. He is passionate about drawing and was awarded the NSW Board of Architects Byera Hadley Travelling Scholarship to assess architecture and urban form throughout Italy. David’s drawings and observations have been acquired by the NSW State Library Architecture Foundation programme. He was awarded a Churchill Fellowship in 2011 to study public urban places via drawing. He has studied Italian architecture in depth and is the author of "Drawing Italy" and also the author of "Drawing Paris". He is a director of Cox Architecture and an educator at the University of Technology Sydney.
